PSA: Do not forget to hook the PCV line back up

As the title says, do not foget to hook it back up when installing an intake. You will have no boost and will also have no brakes.

Blue ring?? It is the line which runs over the snorkel to the intake box. You will know imediately when you forget to hook it up.

Funny part is that I have unhooked it dozens of times and never failed to hook it up. But I guess with multiple things being done and 4 girls (between 5 and 8 year old) asking questions every minute and running around, I got distracted.

It is a common vacuum line. It does affect the brakes as well as the boost control system.

It did throw an Engine Malfunction code but I haven't scanned yet. Will scan and post in the morning.

Are you talking about the line that has a connection near the oil filter and airbox? That's not for PCV. It goes from the Vacuum pump to the brakes.

LOL!!!

I forgot to plug mine in a couple of weeks back... doing a boost gauge install of all things!!! (needed a bit more access to the vacuum lines on the DVs)

Basically... no brakes and smelly white smoke pouring out of the exhaust.

Definitely NOT FUN.
