Split screen vs Full Screen on Prof Nav

Have had a quick look on the forum but couldn’t find the answer to my question..…

Does anyone know if it is possible to have full screen for cd/radio etc on the professional Nav or whether you can only have the split screen set up. Am convinced I’ve seen full screen….

If you can – how do you do it?

I’d but TFM is packed in a box somewhere in my loft…..

Thanks!

What ?! You have managed to get the Radio/CD View to fill the WHOLE screen ?? Are you sure it's not just on the left hand side of the screen, whilst the right side does things like Journey Computer, Map, etc etc ?

No, not full screen nav, but full screen CD/Radio...

And you shouldn't be able to do fullscreen Nav either - the left hand side is Nav, the right hand side still shows the assistance window where you can choose between a smaller nav display, journey computer, arrow display etc etc...

I have played with this a lot....

It seems in my car at least it is impossible to have the two screens merge into one, in any way, at any time except for the main menu.

Even the Radio/DAB/etc screen doesnt span right across, with the right hand third always being reserved for a map, journey computer, information etc.

Annoyingly, I also tried to have the left side showing my sat nav with a destination programmed in, with the right hand of the screen showing the same, but in a further out view...

In effect, I wanted a close up view on the left, and a much higher scale view on the right - but as you change the scale on one, so you change the scale on the other.

Most annoying, and yes, complete and utter bob.

On the LCI iDrive you can turn the split screen on and off. With it off the map is full width, the radio is full width, the CD menu is full width. I don't think you can do that with the pre-LCI iDrive.

Still waiting for F1 practice to finish and then Carl can enlighten us how to do it

I would love to keep the nav on the big screen and telephone details or ipod details on the small screen on mine. It pisses me off when I get a phone call in the middle of some unknown city or town and I lose the directions at the most crucial time.
