H&R Sport Springs - Help

Ok, so I have H&R Sport Springs + Koni Yellows.

Immensely improved the handling from the OEM Sport suspension, even with the runflats on. However, the car dropped significantly, more than I expected (Vertically, the top of tires are now inside the fenders). I haven't driven the car much this winter due to clearance issues.

Are there other Sport Springs out there with similar ratings as the H&R Sports, but with less of a drop, say 1 more inch of ground clearance would be perfect for me.

Please no coilovers!

Eibach Prokit prob is less aggressive than your current set up, but I don't think you'll get an inch more of clearance. Or maybe you can run OEM ZSP?

post a pic. looks like you might have installed H&R race springs if the tires are nearly tucking.

Black = Sport

I am certain they are sports cos they are black, also the difference of drops between sport/race is only slight, as per specifications, but they do differ more significantly for the stiffness.

I have the same issue. Im trying to find a setup with a bit more clearance and the rear not so low. It looks good but I put on a hamann front lip and its nearly touching the ground. maybe dinan or oem performance?

get some coilovers and your problem would be solved...adjust the height to your preference...Mine is dropped but not as severe as some of the people on this forum..My fronts are not slammed and I have yet to bottom out.

If you want to get higher and not buying coil overs so go with Eibach.
H&R lowers 35mm and Eibach lowers 30mm.

Thanks for your comments guys! The car looks great with the H&R, but utterly useless in winter with less than 3 inch clearance. Coilovers are adjustable in height, but I have been told that it still sits quite low at it's highest setting.

So a good drop with winter friendly setup would be 1-1.25 inch lower than ZSP. The H&Rs seem to drop by more than 2 inches.

OK, good news! Was able to get 1/2 an inch more clearance by setting the konis rods higher. I am happy

Depends on the coilover. KW Street Comfort coilovers sit about the same height as stock sport on the highest setting. Here's a pic of my front drop. There's still a moderate gap. It sits slightly higher than E92s I've seen dropped on H&R sport springs. The highest setting on the front coilover is about 1/4" to 3/8" higher.

I'm on H&R Sports, and the fronts are well inside the fenders. Must be the shorter zsp shocks.

With the rod adjustment of the Koni Yellows, my front wheels are not inside the fenders, now they are even with it.

So you are saying that the Koni yellow has an adjustable height on the shock it self? So you raised it by adjusting the rod please explain. Thanks.

Seems that the rod can be adjusted by 1/2 inch. I don't know exactly how it's done, my mechanic just did the adjustment, but I didn't see him in action.

I heard him loosening up a bolt, then he hammered away and then rebolted. Perhaps this will help someone understand.
