Need a quick code scan solution?
Hey guys im running a Jb3 1.3 and DCI.. my question, is there anything i can buy quickly to run scan car for codes, im having a Tire and Wheel problem on my car, and need to take it to the boys at BMW to get a new wheel and tire. I have there wheel insurance and i hit a pot hole, and every week the im getting low tire alert, i thinked i may have cracked the rim... Im going to pull the intake and Tune off, but i dont have BT yet to scan for codes.. ive been running maps 3-5, and ran map 6 last night for roughly 40mins.
thanks in advance damon

Bummer, I hate dealer trips. Do you have a friend/local member with a PROcede CANbus? You could trade tunes for the weekend and check/clear your codes.

they can clear some codes but most codes are BMW specific so you have to go research what the code means. Plus, its no guarantee there are no hidden codes that the regular scanners cant see, nor clear. Best bet is to get the BT tool or drive somewhere with a GT1 scanner BEFORE heading off to service
