Question VPC translation questions

Hi,

Just got an email from my CA. He sent an email to the VPC at NJ to see where my car was. It has a work order as of 11/8 and he got a reply of:

"It has a campaign that requires reflashing the DME.

I will see if Port Jersey can rush."

Can anyone translate?

Thanks,

K

I believe this has to do with the fuel trims to get rid of cold start shuddering. It's just a software update. SOME people claim that it reduces power but AFAIK there has not been anything proven.

Mine got offloaded on the 10/26 (Elektra) got a work order printed on 11/3 and it still has not completed the work order as of earlier today. I talked to some one at BMW in NJ and was told that the they are reflashing the ecu (DMU) on the 335's which takes 8 hours per car. I think the ED cars are in the back of the line since they are paid for. I was told to expect my car early next week.
