Logic 7 standard in the 335i coupe?
Well I was looking into upgrading my stock stereo to an aftermarker pioneer with navigation and I ran into some threads about the Logic 7 system in the bmw. I think the e92 coupe comes standard with logic 7 so does this mean that aftermarket is out of the question? No harness adapter available for this?

Logic is standard on the 335i and an option on the 328i for I believe $1200. As far as navi why didn't you just get iDrive? Much cleaner than any aftermarket install anyone could do.

Well I did not order my car. Here is the story. My previous car got total damaged by flood so I took a day off from my seven day a week job to buy a car. I was looking at the acura tl 2006 and the first dealer I contacted had a deal. 32000 thousand out the door fully loaded. I went to the acura dealership and spent a couple of hours dealing with the extremely rude a cocky salesman and decided to walk out.
So I passed by the bmw dealership and saw the gray 335i coupe that somebody ordered that same day but decided to get the sixer. So I went ahead and bought it. When I asked about navigation option is was very expensive and I would of had to wait 6 weeks on my order. Being desparate and insurance rental on its final day I had to settle for what they had which was pretty good. Cold, premium, garage opener packages for 43000. I thought about it and to tell the you the truth. The Idrive and navi plus the very essential ipod integration would of ran me 2100 + 500 to 550 = 2600 hundred or so. In the other hand, a very clean looking single din installation of a pioneer system would of cost me less. DVD, Navi with XM traffic, MP3/AAC/CD/Video player, ipod integration, tv tuner, backup camera with nightvision, surround sound, bluetooth, touchscreen, XM and sirius radio, and most importantly a more user friendly interface along with a few more bells and whistle would of ran me considerably less. I'd get a year on both sattelite radios with this installation and still save a couple of hundred bucks. But now that I read up on how hard it is to wire a custom system with the logic seven and how it is pretty much irreversible I am having second thoughts. Mainly because I might return this car in a couple of years and get the new M3 If someone could at least tell me that a professional could get me the same sound that I am getting with the current radio in it I will be glad to pay extra money and have it done. But it looks like to do that I will need to spend a couple of extra thousands |
