My CA told me the wait should be anywhere from 7-9 weeks from the time he put the order in. The order went through to BMW on May 18th, my car is currently on a boat and scheduled to arrive at the Oxnard, california Vehicle prep center on July 6th. Less than a week at the prep center, and a few days on a car carrier from L.A. to Seattle area, so overall the wait will be less than 8 weeks.
AlbinoSnail is right...sharing the painful wait with others on the forums has been kinda fun. On Bimmerfest I found a more useful thread with a handful of people with cars on the same boat, and very useful ship tracking info...so check there too. Also, the E92 owners manual is about 260 pages on PDF. I started reading that the other day...to familiarize myself with the ridiculous bulk of features my car has. I've noticed on here that people often ask questions about their car...and a frequent reply is: READ YOUR OWNERS MANUAL! Congrats on the car! |

Definitely going to blast him a note tomorrow.
I have my VIN - does anyone know how to see if it's on a boat? (I know...the rational, patient person would just wait until tomorrow...) |
