Get the Z-9 Leather Soft Spray Cleaner for removing dirt and keeping the leather clean.

Get the Z-10 Leather in a Bottle for the absolutely best smelling leather conditioner out there. Every time you use it, your car interior will smell as good, if not better than the first time you sat in it. Zaino is a small NJ based company with limited distribution, so it will be pretty hard to find a store that carries their products. Ordering off the web is the easiest way to get it.

Do some searching in the Detailing forum and you'll find that anybody that uses these products raves about them.

Good luck with your new ride!

Other advice:

Don't eat in your car, take food in your car, drive with the windows open too much, carry dead hookers in your car, rip a$$, poo, piss in bottles on long trips, anything that might smell bad. Also try to shower at least once a day..

Since a lot of us like to drive with the windows down, or carry food in the trunk from time to time, and sometimes have to use the e90 to transport the dead hookers, Zaino does a good job of getting that smell back once it's gone...

Hope this helps..

If Im not mistaken, doesnt a lot of the "new car smell" come from the vinyl materials and not the leather seats?

Keep your windows closed and your air on recirc, then use zaino.

There are anecdotes passed around about new car smell being bad for your health with all the fresh glues and plastics releasing noxious fumes and chemicals (which is what comprises the smell). That said, I never heard of anyone dying of 'new car smell'...

The "new car smell" is supposed to be toxic - for the reason's you said. But yeah, you'd have to take in a lot of fumes to die from it.

Go with Zaino Z9/Z10 for keeping the leather smell. After 4 months, people still comment how my car "smells new" because I take care of the leather.

Hope you realized I was being sarcastic... We would have seen a class action if new car smell was really toxic. As for me, I love it!

I have the Z10, but have yet to apply it to the bimmer. I didn't buy Z9 when I loaded up on the Zaino a couple months ago. How well does it clean?

You cannot ship Zaino products from www.zainostore.com to New Jersey, Canada, or other international locations. Zaino has exclusive distribution relationships in those areas. If you live in one of those areas you must go to the local distributor to purchase their products. The distributors are listed on on this webpage. For your convenience I've copied and pasted the list of international distributors below. If someone comes to this thread at a later date, or is looking for a NJ distributor, they should use the link above for a more current list of distributors:

After you Zaino, does it make the seats "squeaky?" I've Meguiars and Lexol and both leave the seats squeaky and sometimes oil on me even if I wipe it off immediately....drives me f'in crazy

Zaino clean very well , but smell.. i don't like this smell... The best smell i have seen is a TurtleWax Leather Care in bottle (not spray)... I like to apply Z9&Z10 and then TurtleWax for real new smell...

Wow, I love the smell of the Z10, if you think TurtleWax Leather Care smells better, I may have to buy a bottle just to check it out.

I agree, Zaino doesn't give me the "new leather smell" that I was looking for. In fact it has it's own unique smell that I wouldn't categorize as being the same leather smell from when the car is new. If you go this route, I would recommend you apply sparingly.

I've never tried the TurtleWax Leather Care, but maybe I might run out and give it a try. 2FED, could you tell us more about it? Is it slick? Does it produce the BMW new leather smell?

Actually I have a little of this one: http://www.turtlewaxuk.com/prod.asp?Partcode=FG5430
But the new bottle of Platinum Series I have not-used, it smells same, but I think Platinum one is better to clean too... http://www.turtlewaxuk.com/prod.asp?Partcode=FG5426

Suggest: Try to open a bottle in shop and feel how it smells, if you like it - buy it, you will be satisfied. If in shop in fact you don't like this smell - better not buy

I never seen better smell then this one... for me.. it is personal thing... I don't like at nothing smell of Zaino, but for clean dust is the best..

BTW, I'm waiting a package with SmartLeather: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/sw-leather-16.html , will try it too... maybe i'll like it...

I agree the Zaino smell is strong at first, but it dies down. IMO the Zaino smells like a leather shoe -- a new one, that is. I think it smells great, but I'm interested in checking out how the Turtle Wax stuff smells based on this thread.
