Really confused with my hamman lip, please help
So, im taking my lip to get installed at a very good body shop on monday, so today i decided to put the lip against my bumper to see how it would look like, i got my lip from ******..... So i put it on and i notice that ONLY two bolts seem to line up against the lip, the Two outer bolts ( second picture) on both sides of the car.. the other bolts near the middle of the bumper are too far in and wont reach the lip, so whats the deal? is it supposed to be like that? and will the body shop be able to put it on the car? This is just driving me nuts
1st pic 2nd pic 3rd pic Hope someone can help

" You need to drill through the lip and through the underside of the bumper. There are indentations on the lip already. "

When my Hamann lip was installed the holes had to be drilled for proper attachment to the OEM bumper. Nothing out of the ordinary with this particular lip.
Mine was originally purchased thru Euro-dyne however, since they are no longer a sponsor of this forum I'm unsure as to who (********?) is selling their left over stock. On a side note, be sure to make sure the lip is SECURELY fastened to the bumper as these will have a tendency to loosen up over time ........... especially after they've scraped a couple of times. |

With this particular lip; bolts & glue would be your best bet to a proper securement.

I drille dmy own holes and used doubled sided tape. I did only used one of the holes they supplied to use for the drilled hole.
I wish you the best. Mine is fell off twice already on the same side. For some reason its not holding properly. When you drill through the lip it seems to crack a bit. |
