CF Goodies? Opinions / experience welcome!

Hey all,

I'm currently debating whether or not to act on my urge to give my car a carbon fiber theme. The first thing I would do would be mirrors, which brings me to the first of a couple things I'd like some input on.

1) Does anyone have an opinion on carbon fiber mirror replacements vs. covers? Are the covers totally obvious, or do they look good? I like the idea of being able to take them off some day should I want to go back to the white look without having to have professional help, but will not put something on my car that looks shoddy.

2) I'm also debating these CF door pillars http://www.**********s.com/product.a...Pillars_E90_PR. Does anyone have any experience with these or know anyone who does?

3) The last thing I'd do immediately would be CF grille inserts. I've heard these usually are not problematic.

Thanks in advance for any input.

The covers are totally obvious - please don't purchase these no matter how cheap you can get them.

So, whats the process for installing the CF mirror shell replacement? Do they need to be done professionally or can this be a weekend project?

Simply pop off the old cap and replace with the new. This is a very simple job.

No idea, but same rule applies for any stick-on parts.

Does anyone make CF replacements for the trim? And I can't find any replacements for the colored part of the mirror. Only covers that go over.

For the exterior trim? I do not know but this would be really dif. Would like to see it done.

Is there anyone on the forum who does CF work? If there is anyone, what do you think would be the feasibility of this kind of thing?
