unsigned speeding ticket....

Hello....

So i got a speeding ticket on vancouver island over the weekend....The cop took my info and then went to his truck..did his thing...and came back.....i was going to ask to see the radar but he just handed me my ticket very quickly and said your free to go....

I looked at the ticket and remembered that im supposed to sign something.....he left...and that was that....

My question is...because i didnt sign the ticket stating i got it.....is it still valid....who should i call to find out?

yes, its still valid, he served it to u. U can dispute it. But the shitty thing is when court date comes, u hv to go back to the island

look at the back of the ticket
the court place(area) should be written.
and I am in same boat as you OP

The signature isn't an admission of guilt - it just acknowledges receipt. You can't very well wave the ticket around in court and say that you didn't receive it. But......if you don't go to court within 30 days to dispute it IS an admission of guilt and you automatically owe.

They gots ya one way or the other.
