New to modding; some questions
I'm pretty new to all this and I'd like to start small since I don't know how long I plan to keep the car. The only thing that bothers me right now is the grill and the exterior window trim. I would like to replace those with matte black.
For the grill, should I just take mine to a shop that will powder coat it? Or buy one of the ones on ebay for like $40? I can't judge the quality of those, so I am hesitant, but I am also hesitant about powder coating my current one because if something goes wrong, it's the only grill I have. Or would people suggest grills from a specific brand? As for the window trims, I'm not even sure where to start. Where should I get them and should I do that myself, or find a body shop who will do it? |

....you cant powder coat plastic.
Any who, look through the vendor section. Plenty of them sell matte black black grills, painted grills, and CF grills. |

I see pictures of the E90 with different style grills. Some have the older 1 piece each side grill, and some of the others have 2 pieces to each side. Mine is the latter, is this feature interchangable or would it just leave a gaping hole were I to get the 1 piece grills?
Edit: Just found out it was called a brow. Is it possible to replace my current grills with browless ones? |

Search is my friend if it leads to answers, in which this case I cannot find and much of my original questions I was asking about experience. I would still very much like an answer to my second question (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...22&postcount=6)

it seems like you're not very familiar with your car, the various modding options and what each encompasses. i would suggest doing some homework and reading the threads in this forum to gain some more knowledge.

And then scrolling down to the vendor section and seeing what is available. Also check out the media section to see what others do.
