Anyone with a JET BLACK car have any experience using either a Quick Detailer, or a Spray on Wax??? If so, are there any products that you could recommend for me? Locally we have PepBoys and AutoZone, I would like to buy in store and NOT online.
I would like to try them but I am afraid with the JET BLACK it might not work as nice. Also what kinda cloth did you use for each? Thanks. (Please only respond IF you have had experience with these products on JET BLACK.) Thanks.

Cool, thanks for responding. Will look for those.
On a side note, do you use the Quick Detailer if you get bird crap on a freshly washed car? will it take it off? Thanks

If you catch it before it totally dries ( easy to come off ) then I just detail spray. If its hard to remove I touch up wax that spot after I clean it off. But then again I am very anal when it comes to cleaning the car. |

Did you want a spray on wax or a quick detailer? More and more qd's are becoming spray waxes/sealants, but for now they serve different purposes. I keep a quick detailer & a couple mf's in my car in case I get bird poop on it, any gas spills at the station, etc... I normally use Poorboys Spray & Gloss or Clearkote Quikshine, for locally available ones Meguiars #34 (Final Inspection) is good. I'm also a big fan of Poorboys Spray & Wipe, which is less a quick detailer and more a waterless/spray wash.
For spray sealants/waxes I've used Optimum Car Wax, Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger, Eagle One WAUD, Zaino Z8, Duraglos Aquawax, Carnauba Jett... all on black cars. I generally prefer Acrylic Jett Trigger since it's the longest lasting and one of the easier ones to use. Do not use it like a quick detailer though (always use on a clean surface, never use to clean dust or bird poop, it's a sealant). |
