Getting Herb Chambers to Replace HPFP before the engine spits out the code.

So I have the dreaded 'long crank' and Herb Chambers Boston has told me 'we can't replicate'. The engine doesn't spit out any codes yet but I don't want to be caught on an NYC ->Boston trip with limp mode.

I strongly suspect that even when I leave the car there overnight, when the valet goes to bring it to the mechanics, they have a hard time starting it, but by the time the mechanic attempts to restart it, the problem has already gone away.

Is there any advice you can give me? Has anyone had experience with getting HC to admit they pretty much know what the problem is regardless of engine codes? Is there a bulletin I can print out?

I haven't taken my car in for service yet, but I think BMW Gallery of Norwood is the best place around.

Yea Tulley and Herb Chambers both suck. Tulley's SA's all suck and HC takes forever to get an appointment and a loaner car. I'd say go to Gallery or Peabody.

LOL, he never answers his phone and wouldn't respond to my voicemails. His assistant bitch or whatever claimed he had no messages...right.

Yeah, pretty pathetic, I figured I bought my car from them so they would accommodate me, but no. I went to another dealer and they paid for a rental without a hassle.

I dunno why any of you guys still go to HC for service.

Seems like it's one problem after another with them.
