BMW SA says 19x9.5 rear to interfere with ABS & DSC/DTC

Hi, I was just about to jump on some 220M reps, 19x8.5 & 19x9.5.

Ran into my SA today, started talking, and he says they are too wide and they will upset all security systems of the car. Thus resulting in not being insured since you're not running BMW approved sizes.

I can believe what he says, but i'm still trying not to cause i really wanted these

Does any of you have any info on this ?

It's a regular e90 non m-sport btw. Just thought i'd check with you guys since there is a lot of wheel/tire experience closeby here .

thanks

No, they will not upset all security systems of the car.
Remember, lots of wheels in that size are TüV approved.

Not sure if you need TUV approval for Belgium but as long as your offsets are correct, you'll be just fine. And in Germany, even if your wheels do not have TUV approval, you can bring your new wheels to get inspected/approved on an individual basis.
