Aah, okay at least the dealer paid attention to you this time. sorry that you had to go through all the hassle to get them to fix the problem. let us know how the car goes when it comes from the dealer.

i have the same problem. cyl 5 misfire.
I'm pissed though because my gray platic clip is messed up that holds the wiring in the ecu box. it broke on first install and had to crazy glue the edge but the glue smeared into the inside of the plastic box and now i cant slide it out to get to the pins. anyone have an idea on what to do. I'm guessing i might have the same fuel injector issue if not a bad coil pack

Today I had the dreaded engine malfunction reduced power, car ran like shit after, slight shake as I tried to accelerate. Managed to pull into a parking lot, car was still running and moving, turned it off and let in sit for a couple of minutes. Restarted and the lights were gone and car was running fine...scanned the car, fault 29d1 (misfirings Cylinder 5). I assume a coil pack on cylinder 5, but will swap one coil in for another, rescan and see if the misfire moves with the. Tischer to the rescue?!?! Oh, the joy.

Yeah, mine did it as I went wot..it threw the fault code at 6425rpms, or so that is what I got from the BT cable when I read the fault code (29D1). I am going to swap the coil and plug on Saturday to see if that is it, if it isn't then it is the injector. I haven't went near redline again, but even after some spirited driving it has been okay and hasn't gone off again (it's only been just over a day). I hope it isn't the injector as I don't want to have to take everything off again to go in for this! Did you clear the code before you went in or just leave the code so they could see it?

Left everything on and brought her in........Dealers know about my mods, been honest with them from day one. I hope it works out for the better.......I wish I had a BT scanner to clear the codes, that could be my next investment.
LOL

sorry to thread jack, but how much does it costs at an independent shop to get the injector's replaced, parts + labor, ballpark figure?
