General rule of thumb that I've found to be true:
5 over the limit is usually safe. 10 over is hit or miss. 10+ over, done every time if they see it.

Some people did get a lucky break from officers once a while....but don't take it as granted....
If you break the law and get caught...he has a right to write you a ticket...and you also have a right to find a lawyer....that's how the system works....

What time of day was it? How were driving conditions? How was traffic? You might be able to get out of it per Prima Facia.
