I own both and I will just piggy back on everything said earlier. My 335i is slightly modded atm and still adding but it's a great daily driver, probably one of the most fun DD's you can own. The low end torque is very strong but the car itself is not as refined as an M3. My garage queen M3 is just a more refined car to drive. I leave it completely stock, as feel it doesn't need mods to make it better. It's smooth and luxurious in all aspects of driving, whether it's speed, handling, or overall fun factor, it out performs a 335i (not to mention, I get twice as many looks in it). If your budget can only get a 335, it's a great choice of a entry level performance car. If you have the means to get a M3, by so do it! It's a great investment, as it holds it's value better, and has less mechanical issues. GL!

U lost ur mind. The 335i would take more mods than that to out "performance" an M3. Acceleration yes, other than that..hell no.

+1

Im not sure why its even being questioned.....

I have track my 335i to 10/10 before and taken the M3 to at least 7/10 an anybody who has been in an M3 at anything close to the limits knows they dont even compare.

Having owned a 335 with stage III mods and driven sereral e92 M3's........If I had to buy one again I'd go with the M3 ONLY if I had F/I mods in the future for it. The lack of bottom end TQ simply doesnt work to me as a street car.

As a track car the M3's owns for many reasons.

I own a older M3 w/ a larger turbo on it....i would also only buy that car since its F/I. low bottom end TQ on the street is not that fun.
