HPFP fix with Sta-Bil Marine (Maybe)

I seen some post saying the ethanol in the gasoline is causing the HPFP problem. In the US we have at least 10% ethanol in the gasoline. A lot of motorcycle guys has fuel system problems with the ethanol in the gasoline. Ethanol cause corrosion to the fuel system.

To prevent this from happening they uses ("STA-BIL Marine Formula Ethanol Treatment").

So today I went out and got some ("STA-BIL Marine Formula Ethanol Treatment") and gas my car up. The direction says to uses 1 oz. in 10 gallons (For Everyday uses) So I only uses 1.5 oz of this stuff in my tank. Because we have a 16 gallon tank. We'll see if this works or not from the long cranks that people are having. I having a few long cranks this week. So we'll see.

Well just to let you guys know about this stuff. Maybe some of you will like to try it too.

This actually should work. When I had my boat before I moved to Germany, I used STA-BIL Marine all the time. Keeps gas good as new and prevents separation and absorption of water. Good stuff.

Although, who knows what effect the STA-BIL could have.

I think you're too late if you're already having long cranks.

I only have two times of the long crank (about 3 seconds). But we'll just have to see if it helps. I'll report back in one week.

Alright I'm reporting back after one week of using the "STA-BIL Marine Formula Ethanol Treatment" in one full tank of gas (the first tank with it). The long cranks (two times) from the week before is after I park the car over night.

Will after trying the "STA-BIL Marine Formula Ethanol Treatment" this week. The car starts right up every morning. It got better after day by day.

I'm not saying this will fix all the HPFP problem. But I'll uses it if it helps. So I'm going to keep using this in every tank of my gas.

I use "STA-BIL" in my track car all the time for almost 10 years and I never had a problem with it. I'm not saying you have to uses it. But maybe some people would like to try it for a few weeks and if it help them. Then thats good.
