Latest V3 updates my tune to Stock map?

I have a PROcede V3 Rev1. So i decided to update my tune to the latest maps (10-9) Stage 1 6mt-6at. I went ahead and used the latest software that was provided. I updated the firmware that was provided on Shiv's update page. ( http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=310075 )

After the firmware i went ahead and did the map update. everything went well, no interruptions or errors. I didnt mess with any of the user adjustments or anything.

I put the car together and went off for a test drive. right off the bat i noticed my car is running stock. no extra boost what so ever. so i said crap maybe something went wrong with the update. so i went back un-did everything and did the entire update all over again.

Put everything back together once again and went off on a drive. once again the car is running stock. ANYONE have any idea whats up with this?

I updated my friends v3 rev1 last night and his car is running great with the new tune! so im kind of worried here because i dont understand whats going on. maybe some of you have had this issue and know a fix?

If "current map selection" shows 0, you are on valet mode. Turn it off in the user adjustable menu. You must have turned it on by accident because its disabled in the baseline maps.

i will try to work on it tomorrow. i have to say im tired of taking the whole engine compartment apart and putting it back together again. i wish there was an easier way of accessing the tune. i will check that tomorrow and post some screenshots.

No cutting involved. There is already a hole running through the wirewall. Takes all of 2 minutes to route.

Shiv
I think you mean:- If "current map selection" shows 0, you are not in valet mode.
Doesn't entering a "0" for Valet Mode mean that it is Off ???

NO!! Shiv meant "current map selection" NOT the valet mode on/off feature on the user adjustable paramenters menu.

"current map selection" shows 0 = valet mode
"current map selection" shows 1 = map1
"current map selection" shows 2 = map2

I would go with a 6ft+ cable so the cable can reach the drivers seat..

The USB cable throught the ecu box is very easy to do. I wish I had done it earlier than I did. You will enjoy updating maps and firmware much more. 6ft cable is a good size, like others have said.

Good luck. You don't have to shove the cable into the hole very far before you will be able to put your head down under the glove box and reach it. I struggled for a while trying to push more of the cable in the hole, when it was already within reach in the cabin. You just have to search for it, it's there.

When you load ip procede software, right side, you have a few channels available. You should see one showing current selected map. You can't change anything here. It's just a 'monitor' view.
