Someone around which has BMW Performance Exhaust and had the golf tee mod before ?

Hi,

I did the quick Golf Tee mod - the quick way by unplugging the actuator socket in the trunk. The new exhaust sound is nice, but a bit tiresome if you ask me Its nice but I don't know if I could live with this on a 2-3 hour highway cruise.

Since I plan to install the BMW Performance Exhaust soon, I was wondering how does the cabin sound compare between the two ? Is the Performance Exhaust louder or quieter in the cabin ? How about outside the car ?

Thanks !

The performance exhaust sounds louder, and ALOT nicer both inside and outside. Puts a big smile on your face every day

Believe me, there is a BIG difference with golf tee mod (at all but the highest RPMs where the exhaust flap was open before anyway).

Exactly. This is why I find it tiresome. But worth trying anyway

Yes, like here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80661

Just try it, and if you don't like it, plug it back

I read that it records a fault code though, but its no big deal.
