Any military do ED? do i need a passport?

Im currently in Iraq and want to do Ed 2 months before I head back. Ive got about 4 months or so to go, but does anyone know if I will need a passport to go all around europe, or where I can find out? Im trying to search, but cant get a good answer online. Thanks.

Hey just curious, are you stationed in Germany or something or how do you plan to just go from Iraq to the BMW place to get your car before you go back home?

Well im over in iraq now, and plan on using my R&R (free plane ticket) to head over. Nice europe experiance for the first time, with a new car, a few bucks and a very hungry libido would make a winning vacation. Then back to VA and as soon as I get back my vacation in TX.. :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

If you are on R&R you don't need a passport for NATO countries. Just ID card and leave papers or orders. So from Germany you could go anywhere except Austria and Switzerland which both require passports. So you could go to the following european countries without.

Belgium
Bulgaria
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
France
Germany
Greece
Hungary
Iceland
Italy
Latvia
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Netherlands
Norway
Poland
Portugal
Romania
Slovakia
Slovenia
Spain
Turkey
United Kingdom

Thanks for that. Well picking it up in germany, Id want to check out a few cities their. From what I understand prague is one of the oldest cities in all of europe, so thats on the list. Im half slovak so Id want to get out their. Budapest to rome would be a pretty long day. Im definatley gonna try and get one so I can stop at Bern and Vienna, but its good to know its not necessary, and will just make for a slightly longer drive. Thanks kbuys.
