Did I damage to alternator?

During the night, I went inside my car to read some documents that I left inside the car. I had to turn on the front ceiling lights and I forgot to turn it off. I only realized that I forgot to turn it off in the morning when I had to go inside my car for work. The ceiling lights were turned on for about over 10 hours without my car being started. I'm worried that it caused alternator damage because a few days ago after the incident, my car started shaking while I stopped at a stoplight.

You can't do anything to the alt. if the car isn't running. The most you could've done is drain the battery. Whatever problem you have it unrelated.

Car shakes has nothing to do with your light being on all night, I'm going to guess you are not mechanically inclined.
