There is a fitment difference. This is the 335i SSK
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=25&fg=95&hl=1

This is the 328i/325i SSK
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...=25&fg=95&hl=2

Note the small differences in the shape of the shift lever and the shifting arm (part 7 for the 335i, unlisted for the 328)

Thank you very much for your help. Damn I was hoping I can get away with the 328 version.

Part 7 for the 328 is shown here http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...88&hg=25&fg=05. It's different to account for the transmission differences. The interface at the shifter pivot ball is the same (335/328).

The shifter dogleg does not effect the fitment to the car. I have a B&M that is straight like the 355 SSK and it works fine in my 328.

You should be able to run the 328 SSK in a 335 with the only difference being the location of the knob relative to the console opening. Personally, I wouldn't spend my money on the OEM SSK since it still has much too much isolation and will be as rubbery as the standard shifter.
