Could I paint this?
Got hit while at a stop sign. The impact was pretty rough and I seriously thought it was a truck. As soon as I stopped thinking of how bad it would be I looked back to see a VW beetle. It made no damage to my car other than the paint. I was wondering if there was any way I could fix it up a bit. It doesn't look that bad. You gotta get really close to it but it still bothers me.

well if you do, it would be better. But then again, there are some good body shops out there and less pricey than dealers. I would suggest to find local members in your area that might know someone. GL.

my wife had a similar issue with her TSX...we were quoted $500 at a local body shop...can't really tell from the pic how big/deep the scrape is but if it requires filler, I would say you're looking at 400-500

Yeah this is from my iPhone. Ill take a better picture later. Like I said though, Its not that bad its just the fact that I hate for it to be like that. Lowering it is going to have to wait then. Hahaha

there could be more damage underneath the bumper cover that you can't see. Call you insurance company and file a claim. You've got the other driver's info right?

if the other party is at fault, i would fix it at a bmw dealership. But if you're going to fix it yourself, don't bother taking it to a body shop. Just use touch up paint. Cars get dinged up all the time, once it gets real damaged go for the mtech bumper. Gotta love touch up kit.

My recommendation is body shop... prolly ~$400-500 to fix. The BMW dealer will always be more expensive to fix, but it doesn't hurt to get a quote there either.

dude you are all over the place...
can I just paint this ill just touch up paint it ill go to the body shop why are you even thinking about this....its a body shop fix AT NO COST TO YOU!!! You will get it fixed right the first time, get a free rental and not have to worry about a thing! OR you can get a quote, take the cash out option, buy a new bumper that you want, have it painted and enjoy... |
