LCI Hard drive based Sat Nav
Used it properly for the first time today - and I find BMW still insist that we only have 5 digit postcodes - Grrrrrr
![]() Is there any way to upgrade this on the Hard Drive systems - I know you can get 'Fiddled with' with DVDs for the DVD based systems. Captain SC

Still 5 digit only. Not much of a problem for me as most of my destinations are Electricity utility buildings and substations, which aren't on Postcode databases anyway.....
My dealer are still denying there is an update for my 2008-2, despite new cars having 2009-1 or maybe 2009-2 by now. The manual shows a DVD update method, but BMW UK are probably treating us like idiots as usual and keeping that to themselves. |

I can't see why BMW would specify that when they buy the system from whoever, it seems very odd.
Not sure if any other built-in car systems have the same shortcoming? |
