V1/Valentine One for sale prefer local
In San Francisco serial number 9870060645, it DOES NOT have POP, includes windshield mount and cigarette lighter adapter.
On Craigslist asking $300, but will sell to a forum member for $275. I know I can get more if I ship the item, but would rather not deal with shipping and ebay. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ele/1568463697.html email:joeseekit@yahoo.com BRAND NEW HARDWIRE KIT IS ALSO INCLUDED. As an FYI, Pop is actually not that useful: POP mode works by sending out a quick burst of pulse radar at approximately 67 milliseconds. MPH Industries admits that while in this mode, that the displayed speed of a vehicle may not be accurate. They recommend that the officer only use this mode to obtain an estimate of speed from the target vehicle, establish a vehicle tracking history, and then switch to normal mode to obtain the exact speed. Therefore POP mode is seldom, if ever used by law enforcement and should not be a major concern as an "important feature" in considering your radar detector. In fact, most radar detectors that have the POP mode have it disabled by default, as activating POP on detectors, opens it up to receive a false alerts. AND AS PER V1's site: Status Report on Your Valentine One Serial Number 9870060645 V1 Description: Radar circuitry known in-house as V1.8. This is our latest and best performer on both radar and laser with just one exception—it lacks POP Protection. Of interest to those who drive in Europe, the latest V1 version also has a Euro Mode. Upgrade Recommendation: You have a sophisticated security system, and we’re cautious about recommending an Upgrade. If you believe in keeping up with technology, particularly if the POP Mode is being used in your area, then go ahead. V1’s approach to the POP problem is superior to all others in the industry. If you drive in Europe, you will appreciate our new Euro Mode which improves protection on photo radar as it is used in the E.U. To my knowledge POP mode is not even used in Nor Cal as it does not provide accurate speed readings. |

i'm not arguing if it should be recommended or not, all i'm sayin is it doesn't hav pop. and if i were to pay for somethin, it would reflect the latest and greatest of technologies. sure $275 is a great price, but again, no pop protection and mainly no hardwire kit
