Storm In Germany affecting shipment?
Does anyone know if the storms in Germany might effect the shipments of the cars? Is the storm close to the location where the plants are?

I think so...
My dealer told me my car was going to ship on the Carmen, leaving Bremerhaven on 1/20/2007. On 1/19/2007, the departure date changed to 1/26/2007. I assume it was caused by the bad weather over there.

100% that the storm is in fact affecting the shipment.
The vessel Aida which is transporting my car was suppose to dock in Halifax on the 23rd. It went from the 23rd to the 24th to the 25th and now the 26th. So i am positively sure that the storm played a role in this... This sucks biggggg time. Especially after waiting since the beginning of October to get the car. |

+1. I checked and saw that Carmen was going to leave on the 20th, then the next day I rechecked and said the 26th. I believe I'm on this ship as well.

Carmen changed again
Just checked and the Carmen is now set to depart on Jan 25th....but it's supposed to arrive on Feb 20, which I think is a day later than when it was leaving on the 26th. Weird.

I think it did slow them down a bit last week. Seems like some people were waiting up to 10 days to get on a ship... but for me and at least 2 others that I've seen on here, we're pretty much getting to the dock and then departing within 2 or 3 days, so seems like they've caught up. This is for East Coast shipments though.... west coast could be a different story.

The Carmen is on it's way!
Port Arrival Departure
BREMERHAVEN, GERMANY 25/01/2007 26/01/2007 ZEEBRUGGE, BELGIUM 27/01/2007 27/01/2007 SOUTHAMPTON, UNITED KINGDOM 28/01/2007 29/01/2007 NEW YORK, NY, U.S.A. 06/02/2007 06/02/2007 MANZANILLO, PANAMA 12/02/2007 12/02/2007 PORT HUENEME, CA, U.S.A. 20/02/2007 21/02/2007 YOKOHAMA, JAPAN 05/03/2007 05/03/2007 Looks like the Carmen left Bremerhaven on Jan 26! I don't remember it having to stop in NYC when I tracked before, but the total travel time to Port Hueneme is still the same length, so maybe I just overlooked that before. Looks like I'll have my 335i sedan by the end of February. Can't wait! |

On the Carmen also, but the travel times have seemed to change to little longer wait...
