Secondly: Am i the only one who thinks m6 rep wheels look shite on all e9*s

The fin is for Bluetooth i think. Or nav?!

M6 reps can look good. Redcab had them on his E93. That looked great.

Multiple functions depending on spec of vehicle:

TV, DAB, GPS, Bluetooth, Cars own in-built GSM module, GSM cradle aerial extension....

FM aerial is hidden in with the back window heater elements

ERRRR no not obvious and i tell you why

My car has nav,bluetooth etc and has the fin
My mums car has no bluetooth,nav etc and has no fin
My mates car has no bluetooth,nav etc but has the fin

Hence the reason I asked the question

The dorsal fin has nothing to do with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth module is beneath the dashboard.

The fin is, however, part of the cell phone system and comes into play if the car is fitted with a means to connect the phone handset to the cabling, i.e., external antenna jack on the cell phone handset. It may also include the aerial for the AM/FM portion of the radio receiver. I do not believe the GPS antenna is in the fin but, if I recall, is beneath the parcel panel.

Can't see why your mate's car has the fin but without nav or bluetooth? The fin is there for either/both of those functions. All cars spec'd with either or both get the fin.

Cheers Carl, M6 reps do look good on many E9x cars, but they really need to be on M-sport models IMO. I think they looked great on the E93.....
