Update on independent servicing
Hi All,
I recently sought opinions on the above and the consensus was that a BMW dealer stamp would look better, particularly from the standpoint of selling the car. I hadn't considered the resale issue and was grateful for everyone's sound advice. However, I've just spoken with the salesman at my local dealership and he says that it definitely will not be a problem if I have my car independently serviced, provided that I keep the parts receipts. He has more than a passing interest as I will be trading up to a new 335d in September and he'll be taking my car in part-exchange. He categorically assures me that the trade-in price will not be affected and seeing as the independent service will be £160 as opposed to £300 at BMW, I reckon I know which way to go. Just thought some of you might be interested... Cheers |
