Black grill or not??????

First off I hope this is in correct the forum.
I will be receiving my e90 335 in less then a month and I'm asking for opinions on a shadow grill for my car. I'm not sure how it will look with Montego Blue. I'm also not sure (if I do decide to get it) if I should go with flat or gloss. My last two BMW's I had (both e46) I put black grills on them. They were Alpine white an Orient Blue. Help me out guys.

Gloss black looks best with blues imo, especially a bright shade like Montego.

Personally, not a fan of the blacked out grills, but if you like the look then I say go for it.

The only reason that I'm even questioning not to put them on is because the chrome trim around the windows.

I wouldn't go full black with Montego. I really like how mine looks. (slats have chrome fronts and black sides) Plus the chrome ties into the windows. If you were to get shadowline trim and a black grill my opinion might change.

Do you have a DIY for this? I like the way the shadowline trim looks with Montego.

Or will the shadowline trim be available to buy OEM aftermarket?

I'd prefer not to paint mine. I'd like to store the stock ones for the future. Does anyone have an opinion on the best place to buy a set, or are they all pretty much the same?
