Open your center console and there are 4 vent looking slots in the front left of the console... 4 slots for 4 quarters, that's it. Nothing fancy, and surely doesn't hold enough coins. I vaguely recall riding in a friend's BMW long ago and there being a stack type of coin holder for diff. coins... unfortunately that's not in the E90.

I usually just toss mine in the little area next to the cigarette lighter, right under the radio. Works ok for me!

too many coins in there gets the lid stuck. I put my coins there, too, and then empty it every week into my kids piggy banks.

Those are actually the air pass through for the "drink cooler" though awesome alternative use

Yeah--I can see how that would happen. I never have that much in there--just enough for an unexpected parking meter or toll.

On the E92, on the door panel, towards the end of the door theres a little square pocket. I use it for coins. Works well enough for me.

no they arent. The vents you speak of are only in the cupholder itself. The slits above the cupholder top is a poorly executed coin holder

I just toss my coins into the cup holder in the center console. It's best to put them in either a cup or a bag to make it easier to remove, though.

Bell coin holder $4 from Walmart, works great and keeps many coins organized. Fits right in the armrest cupholder.

I use a roll of quarters. All other change is taken inside the house. I dont need a noisemaker in the car...

Heck... I also dont need that added weight to ruin the performance of my car.

Once they invented this, it's called a wallet :

You can have these in different kind of shapes/colours/materials/etc.
And you can wear it in your backpocket of your jeans.

the whole point of having a coin holder in the car is not not have to go into your pocket and get your wallet, or stop and open the wallet and look for change, etc...I'm also looking for something to hold my coin for the parkway etc... I really don't go on the parkway or turnpike that's why i don't just get ezpass or else that's what i would have.
