Unless you know what the original poster's intent is, you simply can not make any sort of assertions about what HIS needs are. All you are doing, is in fact reinforcing what YOU would do for your situation.
Therefore I ask OP(s) what they intend to do, and offer multiple suggestions based on what could potentially suit what they NEED to do. Otherwise, all you're doing, is offering them advice based on YOUR needs, not theirs.
I work with customer service guys and sales guys. Customer service guys need to ask as many pertinent questions as possible and offer as many solutions as possible. Sales guys only need to offer ONE solution. And when it comes to offering advice on the internet, I DO believe that you need to offer the right advice, not just YOUR advice.
That's like all the questions being asked in the Brake and Suspension forums about Big Brake Kits, and all the brake vendors telling them that yeah, XXX brake kit is the best or you need to buy YYY kit 'cause it kicks ass. But no one ever bother to ask, WHY DO YOU NEED THE BIG BRAKES IN THE FIRST PLACE.

in the end, I believe it will enrich their driving lives, and it would be a way for me to give back to the community that has given me so much. If that's a problem with you or if you feel that is "funny," so be it...I've been around long enough not to really care about what others may feel or think about the way I post on these forums.
That's why I never bother to answer any OP's questions, but supply them enough information so that they can figure it out for themselves. Is that so bad?

I couldn't have said it better.

If only more people took this approach to answering posts...
