Warning lights after battery disconnection?

Hi guys, I fitted my new steering wheel today (BMW Performance one) and in doing so had to disconnect the battery for around two hours.

Anyway, when everything was back together, all seemed well until driving up the road, the DSC light flashed a couple of times and then stayed on with a message indicating a system failure for the DSC, DBC and Tyre pressure monitor....

Question is, have I made a meal of the wiring, or is this normal when the battery is disconnected for a long while? If so, will it just be a simple plug into the BMW service gizmo to clear the errors and I'll be on my way?

Thanks

You need to have the steering angle sensor re-initialized most likely.

Same problem

Hello Holjon,

What did you do to solve this DBC-DSC-TYRE failure?
I disconnected the battery and took the steeringwheel off my E91.
After reinstalling the same problem: DBC-DSC-TYRE failure.

What can I do?

No idea how to send you a PM otherwise I would have doen that.

Thanks!
