Looking For Write UP

I was wondering do you have to take off the valve cover to change the injectors??? The reason I am asking is ever since I bought my car I smelt oil. So I finally took it to the dealer ( not the one I bought from) and they said the back corner of the valve cover was broken, the service record showed the injectors had been replaced, and it would not be fixed under warranty. So I called where I bought it and they said you do not have to remove the valve cover to replace injectors. And they would not fix it either. So if you do have to remove it I'm trying to find a step by step write up that shows it has to be removed and aparently they broke it when they replaced the injectors. They want 1300 bucks to fix and it only has 28,000 miles thats a bunch of crap.
