I have a turbo car also, so i'm not some newb on here that is new to boost. I wasn't saying that you would spin off the track as soon as you hit boost, but I guess you can quote me and take it to the extreme if you would like. I was just saying that its not always an ideal setup to have a large turbo for a road racing. Obviously you disagree, more power to you if you like to race with lots of turbo lag, worse throttle response, and boost that hits hard in the top of the rev-band with a sucky mid-range.

There are a lot more road racing 930's, 935's and other single turbo'd 911's out there than 996TT and newer porsche 911's. I'm not talking about 20 min sessions of DE. I am a member of the PCA club, so if you go out to any PCA races, you'll see that twin turbo 911 cars out there are very very rare.
the newer 911 engines are efficient and large enough to run 2 large turbos (each being relatively efficient in terms of high end exhaust flow), so it's not really part of this conversation. Spool in road race is actually not as much of an issue since you're > 5K rpm at all times. You'd want to configure a turbo that flows alot yet has a very linear and predictable power delivery. Quote:
