I'm thinking of putting some DIY vinyl until the clear ones are out.

Would love it if BMWNA is making clears.
If not, I'm tempted to produce them myself and make huge profits. Startup costs though...or finding a factory to do them here in the US&A.

The clears will flood the market once someone makes them. They will be on ebay by the dozens. The same thing happened for the yellow side marker lights on the WRX when they came out. A ton of people swapped the yellow for clear.

You wont make much money at a ll if you manufacture them in the US! Although I'm sure you can find many Chinese factories that will turn these out for you.

I'm sure we'll see them available within the next few months.

Is it that easy...Around how much would it cost?

automotivetouchup.com Just got my aerosol cans of base color and clear coat for some curb rash under the front spoiler. Color is a very good match considering I have a metallic. Will be doing the side markers this weekend, hoping that the indent doesn't look to odd when its completed.

If the fender is indented, and the reflector has no room to pry anything between it and the fender, how do they snap out?

The CA told me it pushed out from inside the fender, but I've not verified that. Shine a flashlite inside that wheelwell & see if that's true, or maybe call a BMW parts mgr. IE it's not just indented, but a hole has been punched out of that plastic front bumper piece. If it is then you'd pop it out from the inside, but go lightly at first & see if if moves. I couldn't be sure it was a different part from fender?

LMK what you can see, I've only eyeballed them inside without good lighting at my local BMW dealer. That CA has not got back to me with the BMW parts #, harumph...maybe he has bigger fish to fry!

I dont mind the reflectors... just wish they did what the little fendor turn signal indicator does. Meaning, I'd rather get rid of the protruding turn signal indicator and light up the reflector piece to serve that function. Anyone else considering that mod?

I used a mirror and a shop light to see the back of the reflector straight on, still not sure how to get it off? It will not pop off, unless its just a very tight fit.

The CA told me "it just pops out", but I'm thinking it'll take some force. But before testing that out I would mosey over to a BMW parts counter & ask to see the E92 parts blow-up of that bumper on their computer screen. By now they should have parts breakdowns?

I just called the BMW parts dept here, they say "no chance BMW will sell a clear one", but the amber one's do have parts numbers. He was not sure if it had to be pryed out from the front or pushed out from inside, said to check with a BMW shop mechanic...

Left side: #63147162313 _____ Right side: #63147162314

So it looks like we'd have to wait for an aftermarket clear version to come out?

Has anyone achieved to pop the reflectors out yet? From another post, I read that they're glued in and not possible to pop them off without breaking.

If you have a black car, you could just do what Tedesco has done (which looks like he probably put tint film over the sidemarkers)

I think this is wrong. Some states you can have white turn signal lights, but my understanding is all states require the amber front reflector.

I think it's strange the group buy is $85 (I think) and anyone can just go to Bimmian and get them for $60.

They have been taking orders for awhile now, so my guess is that Bimmians can sell for less because they have many more orders. The original GB was for 20 or so.

Somebody on another thread said there was a fit problem with the Bimmians reflectors... ....as I don't think anyone has recieved them yet I doubt this is true...if anyone has the Bimmians ones installed please tell experience and fit....thanks....car is not here for a few months so I have some time.....but deleting the amber reflectors is top of the list for mods.....

In addition - has anybody just painted them themselves?? get a spray can and just sand lightly to rough surface and paint over original lights - couldn't hurt to try (I'm betting they would come out better then you'd think)....however if it is really true you can't reinstall them once removed that would put the kibosh on that idea...

You can re-install them if you get them off without breaking them. You just need some adhesive.
