What size spacers for 8.5" wheels on E92 335i?
So I've decided to convert my stock 189's to winter duty and purchase a set of Miro 942 18x8.5" rims. I figured the square setup will allow me to rotate the tires once I burn through the staggered set I will be putting on now (moving over from the 189s). I've also read that I can get a staggered look on a square setup by running spacers in the back. What size spacers would you guys suggest I run with 8.5" rims in the back (35 offset) on an E92 335i?

Good choice on the wheels, very clean design. For the rear wheels, I suggest a 15mm spacer to make it flush. You can also wait to mount the wheel and tire and measure the distance between the tire and fender.

An 8.5" width wheel with ET 20 is approximately equivalent to a 9.5" width with ET 33, so I'd say you could probably even go with a 20mm spacer if you'd like.

I'm not that familiar with how the offsets are measured so how does that work? I thought an offset of 33 would push the wheel out 2mm (vs 35) and having a 9.5" vs an 8.5" wheel would push it out another 13mm so wouldn't that make your 2nd case 15mm further out than the 8.5" I'm looking at?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably wait and measure it. I was never really bothered with the stock 8.5" rims (don't know the offset on the 189s) so maybe I won't even need spacers?
