im pretty sure that thats a prototype if in any case that it is real. it would be terrible to have a square iphone like that.

I think it was a controlled leak. Apple's been known to do this before to generate buzz, just never this early before launch. The phone is supposedly coming out in June though. On another note, I knew that the iPad was eventually going to have a front facing camera. With the iPhone having one now it just confirmed it. Moral of the story: NEVER be an early adopter of Apple tech

Yeah, I got a new iPhone last year cause my 1st gen stopped working finally (that is what I get for not using a case) and I kind of want this new one... it it'll actually be useful that is.

I like the forward facing camera... but there will need to be much more than that and a hi res screen for me to buy it.

has to be fake, the design looks so old school compared to the current i-phone. Would be a bad move, marketing wise, if Apple really release something so ugly.

Definitely not fake...Apple confirmed that this is a lost prototype and it's asking for it back...i've got a 3GS now unlocked and jailbroken and i'm thinking about selling on Ebay before the new one comes out..

If you look at Apple's current industrial design trends, this new design fits the bill. See the current generation iMacs. Considering they fit a much bigger battery into the 4th gen iphone, the square shape makes a lot more sense. The curved backing of the previous gen really wasted space.

Right, it's a lost prototype, but it might not be the final design. It could just be an ugly test mule.
