I've been evolved!!!!

Guys

Just thought I'd let you know I paid a visit to Imran and Sultan at evolve in Luton and can highly recommend it.

I started out with 237bhp and ended up with 292bhp. I'm well chuffed

The power delivery is smooth too and I can make the traction control light up much more easily now too.

It didn't help that as I was going back I was stuck in traffic on the M1 for the first 30 mins but after that wow what a difference best £349 I've spent on the car (I got the remap at the forum offer price)

I was thinking of trading the car in but with the remap I think its a keeper now (well for a while anyway). I only wish I'd been remapping a 335D instead of a 330D.

while I was down there I also sorted out the insurance. It only cost me an extra £86 to insure it for the rest of the year so I reckon next year my extra premium will be under £100 for the remap. Well worth it I think for the peace of mind (I'm insured with Bell).

The whole process took about an hour and a half and they certainly look like they know their stuff. I'm sure you guys have heard this all before but I just wanted to say these guys are top and would highly recommend you go down there. It's worth the trip and nice to see your car get on the dyno.

Nice one.

If you can help yourself from booting it all the time I'd be interested ot know what your consumption figures like now you've had a remap.

That's more bhp than my 335d?!

Just as well I'm off to Luton tomorrow then

I just called Admiral to check extra insurance costs (Bell are part of Admiral) and they quoted £88 until renewal in Sept, based on 10-25% bhp increase and new non-OEM alloys.

When pushed he said he could waive the £17.50 'admin charge' on that to bring it down to £67 so worth asking the question if you haven't already.

Damn didn't realise there was an admin charge on the insurance the guy just quoted me a final price.

As for fuel economy err I'll try to drive it sensibly and keep an eye on the MPG. To be honest I'm not expecting anything great if it stays the same I'll be more than happy.
