Interior Scuff Marks

It's been about a month now that I've owned this car.

I've notice the interior gets ash scuff's very easily (from my skin.) It's black/saddle brown interior and I'm always having to lick my finder and rub the scuff off. It happens on the door, seats and even steering wheel.

I picked up some "303 Aerospace Protectant", and plan on trying it out this week.

Has anyone else experienced this?
If so, what do you use to clean it? And do you do anything to prevent it?

Cleaning, even the scuff marks from shoes, is a MF towel with some water on it. I don't think I've ever put anything on the black 'ette inside as I do mainly outside work.

Yea, my plan was to keep a MF towel in the trunk that I can spray some of the cleaner/protectant and whip it quickly.

If I were doing it "on the road" I'd pull MF from teh trunk, shake it real good, then pour a few ounces of water from my water bottle onto it and wipe down. No real need to carry cleaners/conditioners, those should be used sparingly, like at major details spring/fall.

Well I just cleaned my sisters 07 Passat Wagon. It had beige letherette so it had a lot of misc scuffs on doors panels etc. since it was a light interior. I tried many things but I was amazed at how well a Magic Eraser worked. Just make sure you get it wet and don't put to much pressure on it. The scuffs should come out very quickly!

The scuff's in my car come off very easliy.
I can just lick a finger and whip it and it comes off.

I doubt it will need a Magic Eraser, but that stuff is definitely awesome. LOL

Be careful with the Magic Eraser, it uses some very harsh chemicals. I would definitely use it as a last resort and keep it away from leather/vinyl completely.

Those would work too. The Griots wipes would smell significantly better though. Inside the car is a place where the good smelling Griots products work well. Get the Speedshine wipes, that stuff smells great! I have never really liked Armor All as when I last used it 15 years ago, it used to dry out my tires. This is interior cleaner though.

BTW, if you buy the speedshine wipes from Griots, you can use them on the paint for bird droppings as well. Great the have in the car.

i have kids and things get nasty back there, i use simple green and a scrub brush on the grainy texture of the trim. been doing this since i have had the car and it hasn't peeled or damaged it yet. after wiping dry with paper towels i use a vinyl protector liberally to get the trim moist so it doesn't dry out and crack. looks new and i have 112,000 miles on this beast.
