Inevitably the wheel leather has gotten kind of slick. Is there a way to get it more like a new "dry" feel to the leather?

Yea, i had an E46 and it had a shiny/slick steering wheel. I really want to prevent that from happening with the E92.

Good stuff. Thanks. When i got home a took a damp microfiber cloth and a little dish detergent and went at it. Made a big difference, but I'll need to go back with a brush to get into the grain, where it still looks a bit shiny.

When these wheels are factory new you can't even notice the grain.

It's interesting how absorbent the leather is to oil. You mostly handle a limited area of the wheel but eventually the entire leather surface is evenly glossy.

I looked at mine this weekend and noticed that the surface where most handling is done is smooth, there are no longer any raised pattern. Is there THAT much oil on the thing, or do those bumps wear off?

I used dish detergent and it made a huge difference, better than all the leather cleaners I have tried to use in the past.

End of the story. If it's really dirty, you may need more than one application, but you will restore the leather to a "almost new"condition
