E92 Coupe 330d

Hi Guys,

Toying with the idea of buying one of these in the near future. Did they come with the option of an SMG Gearbox (Manual with Paddle Shift)? Also would you recommend any place to buy from in the UK bearing in mind Im from Ireland. Any info on the car weclome.

Cheers

Anto

Only the 335i E92 gets the DCT (maybe the 335i E93 as well)

Not in any diesel model.

the 6-speed auto on the 330d has flappy paddles. but it's not an SMG. it is just an auto with flappy paddles!

Thanks mate. I see you have one before, what did you make ok it? Would it by a good car for a 23 year old? They definetly have the looks, what about the power? I just sold my 370 BHP Lancer Evo so I want something with a bit of poke

only kept mine for 5 months - turned out I was a "petrolhead" after all

TBH i couldn't get on with the engine clatter and low revs. it's certainly got poke - but the delivery isn't what you'd be used to in the Evo that is for sure!

my advice would be to have an extended test drive - driving the routes you normally drive. if i'd have done this a little more thoroughly I think there would have been a good chance I'd have avoided the d altogether...

are you buying new or used? why the 330d rather than 330i or 335i?

Good advice, needs to be lived with before making a commitment.
