2008 e93 325 - change oem headunit to alpine

hi i am wanting to change the current bmw headunit to an alpine double din aftermarket one. however i know that the PDC comes through the car speakers. if i was to change the headunit what items will i need to buy in order that everything else will work? i don't have i-drive.

also i have couple extra questions

1. does the existing headunit wiring loom have an ignition source(for the memory)? where can i tap into an ignition source?
2. will the sleep circuit affect turning the headunit on and off?
3. is there anything else i should be aware of when changing the headunit?
4. is there anyway i can move the heated seat controls into the ashtray?

cheers
