2011 328i Wagon - Request for Deal Review
Hi All,
My wife and I are planning to buy a 2011 328i Wagon through BMW's Diplomatic Sales program. While we live in Holland, we will be ordering a US-Spec car (and paying in dollars). Here are the details: 328i Sports Wagon US Spec: $31,130.00 Black Sapphire Metallic: $635.00 Leather Datota, Beige: $0.00 Roof Rails, Black: $100.00 Sport Package (ZSP): $2,050.00 Value Package (ZVP): $0.00 Seating Heating, frotn: $0.00 Transport: $345.00 Delivery: $895.00 Total Cost: $33,635.00 What do you think, good price? |

I think the price is alright. But I'd take a 2010 model with more options for the same amount. Who are you getting it through? Are you trading in an older car?
I'm currently quoted $34,3K for a 2010 with way more options...Idrive, premium, cold wx, etc. (military sales) Maybe there's a difference between our purchase programs and locations. |

We are going directly through BMW Diplomatic Sales; we will have the car shipped to our local dealer in The Hague.
I am under the impression that the Military and Diplomatic prices are the same. I have the price sheet if you're interested in comparing. We originally tried to buy a 2010 (I wanted Monaco blue which is not available this year), but were told that it was no longer possible to order a 2010 (we missed the deadline by a couple of weeks). Also, due to the fact that my desired configuration (I have it exactly as I want it) is a bit "bare bones", my dealer was not able to locate a US-Spec E91 as I wanted it. Thanks for any feedback. |

Strange he didn't find any 2010 models sitting on lots. I've seen quite a few on the list I have. Check out www.Bavarianmotorcars.de
I've been working with a guy named Steve in the Frankfurt office. You might end up stealing my deal. |

@BBBluey,
Most of the links on that page are broken. For example, the "BMW Diplomat Sales..." and "Bavarian Motor Cars used and ex-demo US Spec..." links do not work. In any event, we placed the order for the 2011 model. The only thing that we may add is the factory alarm (for $400). Aside from the arlarm, I am very pleased with the configuration. Cheers, M |

Congrats. I'm sure you'll love driving it across Europe.
My 135i is BSM- that color is gonna keep you busy. Try to work them for the rubber mats- you'll be happy when you get them. |

My first car, a '79 E12, was black and tan. I'm looking forward to the newer version! Also, re the mats, good call. While we don't have snow in The Hague, it seems to rain 80% of the time. Cheers, M |

I have confirmation from BMW that the car will be produced week 22 2010. We've kept the configuration the same as above though we added the factory alarm system in order to reduce our insurance premiums. Now we wait...

The car came off the line earlier this week. I now have a VIN. Should have the car in 3-4 weeks (takes some time to register for plates, etc). Very excited!
