price check: 07 335i CPO
hey guys just wondering whats a good price for this 07 e92 CPO 335i with 26K.
options include: - premium package - bluetooth (i forgot if this is part of premium) - sports package - logic7 the asking price is 35K which is kind of high.. do you think it would be possible to get it down to 32-33K? i dont know much about CPO pricing. also this is a 6MT so the dealer claims that its super rare and such and is basically hinting price might stay high. is there truth to this claim? The price is high for a 2007. Bluetooth is part of the premium package and the L7 came standard in the 2007 335i coupe.
The mileage is pretty good. The dealer is right - a 6MT CPO is a pain in the ass to find. I spent about 4 months waiting to find a local 6MT CPO. Finally, I purchased an auto. |

30K seems kinda low since the car just got certified and especially from a dealership and especially for a CPO. KBB value for this car (private party) is 31K and CPO value is 35.6K. not saying kbb is very reliable though but its a starting point.
im probably going to offer 31K and just sit on it, max im willing to go is probably going to be 32 though |

For what it's worth I bought an 07 e92 335i CPO (with 48,xxx miles) w/ extended maintenance in auto w/ premium, sports package, nav, and comfort access, for $28,350. I was dead set on getting a 6MT until I drove an auto...

I just purchased a 335i coupe with 32k, CPO, auto, sports package, premium package, logic, and navi for $31.5 plus ttl = $34k out the door. It was listed at $34,999. I was looking for a black on black so I jumped on it same day they put it on the lot. Not sure how good of a deal but I was waiting for some time for that color combo! I waited for 2 months and saw several of 335i come and go weekly through the dealership (momentum in Houston).

Based on my recent search for an E90 CPO, I'd estimate that less than 5% of the CPO E90 335's out there (in the northeast) have 6MT, ZSP, and RWD (no XDrive). Even less of those cars have no iDrive, which is what I was looking for. On the flip side, dealers have a hard time finding buyers who want these types of cars too, so that can work in your favor if you don't play your hand to quickly. Also, forget KBB. You'll pay too much if you rely on KBB pricing. Galves is what dealers use. The Galves trade-in (wholesale) value of a 2007 E92 335i with 6MT, Sport Package, Leather Trim, and 26k miles is: $23,750 + $1,500 (estimate) to recondition the vehicle. + $2,000 (estimate) for the 6yr/100k mile BMW CPO warranty. + dealer overhead. + dealer profit. = $ ________ Good luck with your search!

regarding the galves values, adding the wholesale value with the two estimates gives 27250. how much would the average dealer overheard be and how low would they allow their profit to go? also and how would my demographic affect the #s if you anyone has any information on that?)
im thinking about offering 31K and walking if i have to but truth of the matter is i really want the car so i dont want to offer too low and never receive a call. |

I realize you're looking at an E92 335i, but as a comparison, on 31 Dec 09 I bought a CPO'd Jet Black/Terra 2007 335i Sedan with 6-speed manual, ZSP-Sport Package (with Oil Cooler), ZPP-Premium Package, ZCW-Cold Weather Package, Comfort Access, and 27,200 miles. I paid just under $27,800* + tax, tag, title and doc fees. I also got 0.9% financing from BMW for 48 months (the sale price was actually $29k, but BMW made my first two payments). I had no trade-in, so the dealer didn't play a shell game with the sale price. The car's original 2007 invoice cost was $42k and the original MSRP was $45k. The suggested CPO price was $31,995. The car’s in-service date was 22 Nov 06, so I had 11 months of free maintenance and 35 months of warranty remaining. The GALVES TRADE-IN VALUE was $22,800 and the GALVES MARKET READY VALUE was $24,250 on the E90 I bought. I estimated the value of the CPO at $2k, so the dealer probably had about $25k-$26k into the car. That was over 5 months ago and 2007's have continued depreciating since then...

i actually emailed the SA about that and he told me he'd get back to me and then he just cut communications... the car was delivered march 07 and i believe only 07 with sport packages produced after march 07 have it so chances are its not.
