Whats a realistic OTD price for this 335i convertible?

2007 335i Convertible
Certified Pre Owned
Black
28k Miles
6 speed manual
Coral Red Interior
Premium package
Sport package
Navi

Asking price $39,999
Looking to put 10 -15k down and financing the rest through BMW on a 60 month term.

How should I approach the negotiating? Ive been to 2 BMW dealerships already and the sale people wont even give me the time of day. Im 25 years old but I look like Im 19. I feel Ill have much better luck negotiation online or over the phone, but have 0 experience with it.

Just go ask fo help. Have them submit your credit to see if you can get bought and then worry about the price. Have you financed 30,000 worth of car before? I'm not trying to be a dick, just looking for info. Convertibles go for all the money. Just buy what you can afford

At least $5k too high if you ask me...at least. There's a guy on bimmerfest selling his 2008 335i convertible fully loaded with stage one dinan package and upgraded differential with only 16k miles on it for $39k. Not CPO'd, but one year newer with less mileage and the upgrades for the same price.

Doesnt it cost money to run a credit check? If so, would they do that for anyone who just walks in? I apologize for my ignorance, but I never financed anything before. My credit score is 770 so I will defiantly get approved being that Im in the top tier. The only debt Im in right now is my current balance on my cc which I pay in full every month. I can afford to put 25k down, but Id rather take advantage of the current low finance rates. Im just wondering whats a realistic price that we can meet on. Why pay more when you dont have to right?

The credit check is free. They have to see if the bank will loan you the money. You do have the right idea, you will want to finance as much as possible. but you will have to let the bank decide what they will lend you. BMW FS will limit the amount that you can borrow since you have never had an open auto loan before. IE you have to have 20G loan before most banks will give you a 35G loan. Once you establish auto payment history you will be able to walk in anywhere with a good score and put the minium or no money down to get a loan
