Chicago Area Body Shop Choices
y wife ran up against a parked minivan on our street because it was pulled up too far past the curb, and so she scraped up the passenger rear door, skirt, passenger quarterpanel, bumper, and a pristine 19 in rim. So now I am looking for a body shop to do the repair, but I figure that I might as well get the MTech body kit I have been waiting for, since I might be able to reduce the cost for the bumper and skirt (I get 'comped' for the parts that are not replaced and I pay for the kit, basically).
I have USAA insurance, and they have a list of shops that they warranty work if there are any problems, otherwise I can go to any shop of choice. I would normally go to A&L if I had my choice, but they are not on the USAA list. I have used Gold Coast a decade ago, and reasonably happy (they installed aftermarket lights for an insurance repair). I know that I might end up going to A&L anyway, since they will probably stand behind their work, and the USAA guarantee is moot. Of course, I am also debating dropping $5000 (exhaust, body kit, GIAC) on the 335i, and using the money for an S4 or M3 (yeah, different cars). Do you guys have any opinions of the following In my insurance network): Gerber Cars Collision Center Tech Cor LLC Gold Coast Auto Body Westmont Auto Body / Auto Werks Thanks in advance. |

A&L is supposed to be really good.
