CDV MOD in Philly???

Does anyone do this mod in or near philly? I keep reading it is a MUST do, so I'm finally going to get it done.

we arent in philly but we do alot of cdv mods, we are in hillsborough nj, plenty of guys from your area have made the drive to us and left very happy with their mods.

How far from philly? Any chance it's on the way from philly to south jersey shore???? I could stop on my way thursday or friday??

I bought the modified CDV from Zeckhausen and had Helix (Manayunk) install it - I think they charged a half hour labor for it (like 40 bucks). Totally worth it in my opinion since I didn't want to risk having to bleed the thing myself (which I'm not even sure was necessary).

And yes, if you're still driving your 6MT with that jackass valve in there, you're not really driving your 6MT

Does Helix sell them too? or just install?
What are the chances a dealer finds this mod? Can they visibly see it? or will they have to remove it to see?

they would have to remove it to notice it, i doubt any dealer would ever check, it looks exactly like stock from the outside

both places are great ... ah soo torn... got mine done at AK, they did a great job, but i know Eric at Helix would do just as good a job as anyone. Its really just preference, or flip a coin

can't you just get the valve removed? i recall reading some threads that said you dont really need the replacement part.

yes, you take the stock one out of the car, modify it (take the guts out) and re install
