After reading the text it re-ignited my question - why can't BMW put a manual box in a 335d??? They always say they can't get a manual box to handle all of the torque but these guys seem to be fine with it

It may be fast but what happens when you reach a corner at mach2

I thought the problem wasn't so much the gearbox, but the clutch. Same question still stands though...

And it's still fugly.

clutch will probably not last long.. that's more likely to be the issue i should think.

what can this engine do in the m5 or m6 ???

A car which already has a quick 0-60 is very hard to improve upon when tuning, it's mailny mid range and higher end performance that improves more dramatically.

With that said a 900bhp motor that has a 0-124mph under 13 seconds is not much to boost about. There are many cars with half the level of performance which would embarass this car up to that speed from standing start.
